大会長挨拶

ACP（米国内科学会）日本支部の会員の皆様、本ページをご覧いただいている皆様へ

謹啓 時下、益々ご清祥のこととお慶び申し上げます。

　このたび、2026年のACP日本支部年次総会・講演会を、京都大学を会場として開催いたします。京都大学会場での開催は2019年以来、実に7年ぶりとなります。ACP日本支部の年次総会・講演会の原点とも言える場所で、皆様とともに有意義な学術交流の時間を持てますことを大変光栄に存じます。

　本年度の大会テーマは『テクノロジーとベッドサイドを繋ぐ』です。

　AIやエコー機器の小型化などといったテクノロジーの進化は、臨床・教育・研究のすべての面において、『医療』の在り方に大きな変化をもたらしつつあります。一方で、私たち内科医は、目の前の患者一人ひとりに丁寧に向き合い、全人的なケアを実践することが求められ続けています。

　本大会では、そうした現場のリアルに即した知見をもとに、テクノロジーとベッドサイドを適切に橋渡しするための思考や実践を、ジェネラルマインドを持った者同士で共有し、検討する場としたいと考えております。

　また本大会は、参加者の皆様それぞれの立場に応じて、さまざまな機会を提供できると確信しております。

　医学生・初期研修医の皆様には、国際学会への参加や発表の第一歩として、また将来のロールモデルと出会う機会として、若手・中堅医師および診療看護師の皆様には、日常診療に直結する知識とスキルのアップデートやネットワーキングの場として、臨床経験豊富な先生方にとっては、知識やスキルのアップデートのみならず、本会特有のジェネラルな気風に心地よく身をまかせていただきながら同じ志を持つ方々とのリユニオンの場として、それぞれにご活用いただければ幸いです。

　ACP日本支部には、臨床・教育・研究と多様な領域で活躍するジェネラリストが集っています。本大会を通じて、現代医療の課題と可能性を見つめ直すとともに、今後の臨床実践に生かせる多くの示唆が得られることを願っております。

　京都の地で、皆様とお会いできることを心より楽しみにしております。

To esteemed members of the American College of Physicians (ACP) Japan Chapter, and all distinguished visitors to this page,

It is my great honor to announce that the ACP Japan Chapter Annual Meeting 2026 will be held at Kyoto University. This marks our return to Kyoto for the first time in seven years, since 2019. We are delighted to host the meeting once again at this historic and academic venue, which we regard as a symbolic home of our chapter’s early gatherings.

*The theme for this year’s meeting is:

“Connecting Technology and the Bedside.”*

Innovations such as artificial intelligence and the miniaturization of ultrasound devices are rapidly transforming clinical practice, education, and research. Amidst this technological evolution, internists are increasingly called upon to provide comprehensive, patient-centered care with depth and compassion.

This year’s meeting will provide a platform to explore how technology can be meaningfully integrated into bedside medicine. Together with fellow physicians who share a generalist mindset, we will examine practical approaches that bridge the latest advancements with the realities of patient care.

We hope the meeting will offer valuable experiences for all participants, tailored to your professional stage and interests:

* For medical students and residents, it is an excellent opportunity
to take the first step toward international academic engagement and
to encounter future role models.

* For early- and mid-career physicians and nurse practitioners, the
meeting serves as a forum for updating clinical knowledge and
skills, and for building meaningful professional networks.

* For senior and experienced clinicians, we hope it offers not only
continued professional development, but also a moment of reunion and
reflection, surrounded by colleagues who share the values of generalism.

The ACP Japan Chapter is proud to be a vibrant community of generalist- minded physicians committed to excellence in clinical care, education, and research. We believe this meeting will inspire new perspectives and foster dialogue that supports your ongoing contribution to patient care and the advancement of internal medicine.
