Dear Colleague,
On behalf of the steering committee and the members from the 35 countries, I am delighted to inform you that the GEoPD 21st Annual meeting for Parkinson’s disease will be held in Seoul, from June 5-6, 2026.
Considering the increasing burden on the economy and its societal impact, the GEoPD strongly believe in its core philosophy that collaborative endeavours by engaging with various stakeholders will provide a roadmap to treat and find a cure for Parkinson’s disease. In this spirit, in our outreach effort, we are contacting Parkinson’s disease organisations to inform our annual meeting so that you can inform your members and community as well.

Historically, the GEoPD was founded in 2004 and is the longest serving international scientific consortium and "think tank" on Parkinson’s disease. Keeping in mind the advancements that have been made in technology and our understanding of PD, subsequently, the focus and themes of the consortium align with rapid changes that are being made. The focus of our research follows a multi-modal theme that broadly covers genomics, epidemiology, functional biology, and disease prediction to develop and propose strategies for clinical trials. As our organisation is self-funded, it has no commercial ties or agenda; nevertheless, talks of our conference will be CME accredited.
The content and participation at this year’s meeting promise to be tremendously insightful. We have made huge molecular progress in understanding Parkinson's disease, where, why and how it occurs. Please consider this our personal invitation as we would love to meet you in Seoul.

Kind regards,
Manu Sharma,
GEoPD President, on behalf of the Steering Committee and our global members
