4年ぶりの世界災害救急医学会がアイルランドで開催されました。教授の原田が2題演題発表と、次回2025年に東京で開催されるアンバサダーとして終了式でスピーチを行いました。
世界中の災害の専門家が集まる学会に参加することで、未来志向型の災害対応について意見交換ができたことも嬉しかったのですが、2019年以来オンラインでしか会えなかった各国の友人たちと再会できたことが最大の収穫でした。
Presented at the WADEM 2023 Congress in Ireland
The World Association for Disaster and Emergency Medicine (WADEM) conference, held in Ireland after a four-year gap, was a significant event. Professor Harada presented two oral presentations and delivered a speech as an ambassador for the next conference in Tokyo in 2025.
Participating in this global gathering of disaster experts allowed for fruitful discussions on future-oriented disaster response strategies. However, the greatest reward was reuniting with friends from various countries whom I hadn’t seen in person since 2019, as our interactions had been limited to online platforms.
