The purpose of the Japanese Pancreas and Islet Transplant Association is to conduct research on various problems related to pancreas and islet transplantation, and to advance them. This Association conducts scientific investigations, including annual academic meetings, basic research, and clinical studies to advance clinical pancreas and islet transplantation and to improve their outcomes.
Message from the President
Takashi Kenmochi
The history of pancreas transplantation and islet transplantation in Japan represents exactly the same history of this Association. This Association will continually lead the field of pancreas transplantation and islet transplantation in Japan. In addition, I also believe that it is important to advance basic research and to establish new medical treatments such as regenerative medicine.
I will do my best to further develop this traditional Association. I would therefore sincerely like to ask for the guidance and encouragement of all members.
