The Advanced Medical Development Center, in cooperation with the departments of the hospital, will conduct early phase clinical trials in various areas of malignant disease. Dedicated medical staff with expertise in clinical research will be assigned to provide medical, nursing, and emergency services tailored to the pathological condition of each patient.
With the opening of the Center, phase I and other early phase clinical trials initiated at the hospital will, in principle, be centralized and conducted at the Center. This move is expected to bring the following advantages:
1. With staff dedicated to conducting clinical trials and a designated trial location, we will be able to carry out early phase clinical trials of higher quality.
2. Collaboration with the Cancer Precision Medicine (CPM) Center, the Cancer Chemotherapy Center and the Cancer Institute will enable us to conduct efficient early phase clinical trials from the basic laboratory research stage and to promote seamless translational research.
With the establishment of the Center, we will further solidify our position as Japan’s leading institutions for early phase clinical development in the field of cancer.
