線虫研究の未来を創る会 nFuture
日本の線虫研究の更なる発展・活性化のため、今年も「 線虫研究の未来を創る会/ The Future of Nematode Research」をオンサイトで開催します。本会は、国際学会でカバーすることが難しい若手の発表と交流に重点をおき、学生からPIまで、参加者全員がフランクに語り合える場を提供することを目指しています。
今回は、宮城県仙台市の東北大学片平キャンパスにて開催する運びとなりました。オンサイトでの口頭・ポスター発表を行います。直接議論することで新たな発想が生まれることを期待します。皆さま奮ってご参加ください！
We are pleased to announce the symposium “The Future of Nematode Research” 2026, to develop and invigorate nematode research in Japan. This meeting will focus on presentations and interactions by early researchers, which are often difficult to cover at international conferences. Our goal is to provide a casual environment where all participants, from students to lab heads, can freely discuss and share ideas.
This 8th meeting will be held at Tohoku University in Sendai City. We will have on-site oral and poster presentations.
We hope that direct discussions will lead to new ideas. We welcome and encourage the enthusiastic participation of the entire nematode community!

学生：無料、ポスドク・研究員：1,000円、非PI教員：2,000円、PI教員：2,000円
懇親会費(17日夕方)
学生：1000円、ポスドク・研究員：3,000円、非PI教員：6,000円、PI教員：8,000円
参加登録後に別途、参加費および懇親会費を振り込む口座をご案内いたします。できるだけラボの皆様でまとめてお支払いください。
なお、懇親会への茶菓子や飲料の提供も歓迎しております。

After registration you will be sent account details for paying fees by bank transfer. We welcome contributions of light refreshments and beverages to the mixer.

8/18の昼食としてお弁当（有料）を希望される方は、参加登録フォームより注文をお願いいたします。お弁当の内容は当該フォームからご覧いただけます。会場周辺には昼食を購入できるコンビニ等もございます。
If you prefer to order a lunch box for lunch in August 18th, please request one in the registration form. You can refer the contents of the lunch box in the form. Note that there are stores that you can buy foods around the venue.
口頭発表 Oral presentations
口頭発表は、3カテゴリーを募集します。それぞれ約12分程度の口頭発表、約5分程度の質疑応答という時間枠の予定です。（発表者の応募数によっては多少前後する可能性があります。）みなさま奮ってご応募ください。

口頭発表要旨の提出
口頭発表の要旨は、下記のリンクよりテンプレートをダウンロードして作成し、参加・演題登録用のGoogleフォームへアップロードしてください（※英語での記入を推奨いたします）。提出期限は7月24日（金）です。なお、要旨のファイル名は、お名前のアルファベット表記（例：Taro_Yamada_nFuture2026_abstract.docx）として提出いただきますようお願いいたします。
やむを得ない事情によるオンラインでの口頭発表
出産、育児、介護などやむを得ない理由で、Zoomでの口頭発表を希望される方は直接オーガナイザーまでご相談ください。
We are currently envisioning 12-minute talks followed by 5 minutes of Q&A. This may be subject to slight adjustment depending on the number of registrants.
Presentation Categories
※ We kindly ask that recipients of the Next Leader Award make every effort to serve as organizers for the following year.
- We request that text elements on slides be in English; the presentation language can be either Japanese or English, as desired.
- If the number of presentations is too high to fit in the time we have, priority will be given to younger researchers or those relatively new to nematode research. Thank you for your understanding.
- Those who wish to give an oral presentation should submit an abstract at the time of participant registration. Please see below for abstract submission instructions.
Oral presentation abstract submission
Please download the template from the link above “Abstract Template” to prepare your abstract for the oral presentation, and upload it via the Google Form for registration and abstract submission. (*Writing in English is highly recommended.) Submission deadline is July 24 (Fri). Please ensure the file is named using your name in the Roman alphabet (e.g.,Taro_Yamada_nFuture2026_abstract.docx).

If you wish to give your presentation via Zoom due to unavoidable circumstances such as childbirth, childcare, or caring for a family member, please contact the organizer directly.

We broadly welcome submissions for poster presentations. A Poster Award is also available for student presenters; we highly encourage students to apply.
Guidelines & Specifications
- Poster Size: A0 size (Portrait orientation)
- Written Language: As a general rule, posters must be prepared in English.
- Presentation Language: Flexible (Either English or Japanese is acceptable).
- Abstract Submission: Not required (However, you may optionally submit a Visual Abstract as outlined below).

To enter the Poster Award competition, Flash Talk presentation and submitting a Visual Abstract are required.

We offer an opportunity for poster presenters to deliver a 1-minute oral presentation (Flash Talk) on a voluntary basis.

リーダーズ会議 Leaders’ Meeting
8月18日のプログラム終了後（15：45～16:30 予定）に、学会会場においてzoom併用でリーダーズ会議を行う予定です。現地参加しておられない方も、リーダーズ会議のみzoom参加していただくことが可能です。PIの先生方のみならず、助教やポスドクなど、さまざまな立場から線虫業界について考え、意見交換をしたい人に気兼ねなくご参加いただきたく思っております。参加の可否を参加登録Googleフォームより、お知らせください。
After the meeting ends (Aug. 18 15:45~16:30pm), there will be a hybrid Leaders’ Meeting held at the meeting site (and online via Zoom). Remote participation in this meeting is available to all, even if you cannot participate in the nFuture meeting. This meeting is not only for lab heads but anyone – assistant professors, postdocs, or anyone in the community who wishes to participate. Please indicate your participation in this meeting on the Meeting Registration Google Form.
