    バーズってノリが悪くて(リズムが「平たい」感じがする) 今ひとつという気がするんだけど、この曲はやはり良い。 青春してる感じ。

    久しぶりに聴くとかっこいい。 なんて表現したらいいのかわからないが、若くて、暴走してて、 少しいやらしくて、ナイーヴなとこもあって。 そいえば、ライブ行きたかったなあ。

    歌詞と言い、ベースと言い、ぶっ飛んでいる。

   洗練された田舎の音楽という感じ。 彼らの音楽に関して、イギリスのロックをアメリカ逆輸入したもの、 という説明がされることがあるけど、 たしかにちょうどそんな感じなのかも知れない。

6. the staple singers, heavy makes you happy (sha-na-boom boom)

12. the meters, cissy strut / cardova / it's your thing / love the one you are with (live)

    やっぱりハードロックとかヘヴィーメタルって、 スーパーカーや戦闘機や最新のコンピュータがかっこいいと 思うのと同じで、「機械的なかっこよさ」に魅かれるわけなんだよな。 なぜかイギリスの工業地帯や、ピストンが運動して姿を想像してしまう。

15. queen, somebody to love

    最高。70年代って、公害やオイルショックなど、 暗い話もあったんだろうけど、 ツェッペリンもエアロもいたし、クィーンもいたし、 ジョン・レノンも生きてたし、もちろんストーンズも がんばってたし、まだまだおもしろい時代だったんじゃ ないだろうか。今も結構おもしろいけどさ。

    "transformer"というアルバムの三曲目。 このアルバムは退廃的な雰囲気が最高に良い。

    そういえば、しばらくニューオーリンズ物は聴いていなかった。
