{"id":244,"date":"2022-05-13T00:00:17","date_gmt":"2022-05-12T15:00:17","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/plaza.umin.ac.jp\/nutrigenomics\/?p=29"},"modified":"2024-03-03T11:20:03","modified_gmt":"2024-03-03T02:20:03","slug":"themes-2","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/plaza.umin.ac.jp\/nutrigenomics\/themes-2\/","title":{"rendered":"Themes"},"content":{"rendered":"\n<p>In our laboratory, we have been working on &#8220;<strong>Nutrigenomics<\/strong>&#8221; as a key concept to figure out how the genome is read to control nutrient flows, why foods can make us both healthy and sick, and how fasting and time-restricted feeding extends our lifespan. <\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>The following are some of the specific topics we are trying to address:<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>\u200b\u200b<\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\"><li>Continue to elucidate&nbsp;<a rel=\"noreferrer noopener\" href=\"https:\/\/www.yodosha.co.jp\/jikkenigaku\/book\/9784758103572\/index.html\" target=\"_blank\"><strong>nutritional signaling<\/strong><\/a>&nbsp;in terms of nutrients as information carriers via trans-omics analyses.<\/li><\/ul>\n\n\n\n<p>\u3000<\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\"><li>Try to identify &#8220;<a href=\"https:\/\/www.yodosha.co.jp\/jikkenigaku\/book\/9784758103572\/index.html\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\"><strong>nutritional signals<\/strong><\/a>&#8221; (of health-related nutrients such as n-3 polyunsaturated fatty acids and amino acids) and the &#8220;<a rel=\"noreferrer noopener\" href=\"http:\/\/hokuryukan-ns.co.jp\/cms\/books\/%e6%9c%88%e5%88%8a%e3%80%8c%e7%b4%b0%e8%83%9e%e3%80%8d2019%e5%b9%b4-8%e6%9c%88%e5%8f%b7\/\" target=\"_blank\"><strong>fasting response<\/strong><\/a>&#8221; pathways, through a new enhancer analysis method using in vivo imaging (<strong>in vivo Ad-luc analytical system<\/strong>).<\/li><\/ul>\n\n\n\n<p>\u200b\u200b<\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\"><li>Develop an innovative platform technology (<strong>TFEL: transcription factor expression library<\/strong>) for clarifying the entire transcriptional regulatory network of energy metabolism.<\/li><\/ul>\n\n\n\n<p>\u3000<\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\"><li>Screen transcription factors matching causal SNPs using TFEL (<strong>TFEL SNP scan<\/strong>).<\/li><\/ul>\n\n\n\n<p>\u200b<\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\"><li>Elucidate the effects of tumor suppressors in&nbsp;terms&nbsp;of <strong>insulin resistance<\/strong>&nbsp;as a negative feedback mechanism.<\/li><\/ul>\n\n\n\n<p>\u200b<\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\"><li>Approach the regulatory mechanisms of energy metabolism from <strong>chemical biology<\/strong> by screening of new bioactive compounds.<\/li><\/ul>\n\n\n\n<p>\u200b<\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\"><li>Clarify the mechanisms of&nbsp;<strong>adipo-hepatic&nbsp;balancing&nbsp;<\/strong>in phylogeny\/individual development, and apply it to the treatment of obesity.<\/li><\/ul>\n\n\n\n<p>\u200b<\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\"><li>Promote screening for&nbsp;diabetes by the <strong>finger tip HbA1c testing<\/strong>&nbsp;at pharmacies. \u21d2For more information, visit the &#8220;<a rel=\"noreferrer noopener\" href=\"http:\/\/a1c.umin.jp\/\" target=\"_blank\"><strong>Revolution of Access to Diabetes Diagnosis (RADD)<\/strong> Project<\/a>&#8221; and &#8220;<a rel=\"noreferrer noopener\" href=\"https:\/\/www.yubisaki.org\/\" target=\"_blank\"><strong>The Cooperation Council for Specimen Measurement Offices<\/strong><\/a>&#8221; websites.<\/li><\/ul>\n\n\n\n<p>\u200b<\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\"><li>Develop a lifestyle guidance service for diabetes based on genomic polymorphisms. \u21d2For more information, visit the <a href=\"https:\/\/www.habituscare.co.jp\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\"><strong>Habitus Care<\/strong><\/a> website.<\/li><\/ul>\n\n\n\n<p>\u200b<\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\"><li>Promote &#8220;Delicious Diabetic Food&#8221; through collaboration with <strong>COOKPAD<\/strong> and &#8220;<strong>Delicious Health<\/strong>&#8220;.
