On behalf of the Japan Rhinologic Society, it is our great pleasure to announce you of the 48th annual meeting for Japan Rhinologic Society, which will be held on October 1st ~3rd 2009, in Matsue city, Shimane, Japan. We would like to welcome you all pariticipating with our meeting with a long history in Rhinology field. We are very much thankful to the Korean Rhinologic Society, for accepting our cordial invitation to contribute to the 48th annual meeting.

For the last three years, an exchange program between KRS and JRS has been successfully continued with various activities and they have been working so nicely to get together with each other. On this occasion, we would like to extend our relationship, employing with fruitful discussions what will be an interesting, instructive and up-to-date programme that covers all aspects of our speciality.

And more extensively, we would like to welcome a number of active participants from asian countries, with setting up international sessions at the latter part during the congress period. Therefore, if you may have any concern with our academic programme, please encourage your colleagues to come and contribute to it.

On the final day, October 3rd, Saturday , international sessions including luncheon Seminar will be managed in English. So, we may anticipate as many as oversea participants with their presentations and hopefully all our exchanging activities will develop so far to this end.

Shimane Prefectural Assembly Hall

Shimane Prefectural Assembly Hall occupies a unique position just along Matsue Castle, located in central part of Matsue city, capital of Shimane prefecture, where you can find so many sightseeing spots (museum, fogelpark, samurai houses and so on) and beautiful scenary with Lake Shinji. We are very proud of possessing so many historical places herein Shimane such as Izumo shrine with 2000 year's history and also Iwami silver mountain, being registered as one of world heritages.

So, you can of course focus on your academic sessions, but also enjoy your relaxing time to visit amazing spots. Surely you can experience different wings of the ancient Japanese manners and customs and cultures here. More conveniently , we are very near to the Korea, and we regularly have a direct flight between Seoul Incheon intl. airport and Yonago airport, neighbouring Tottori prefecture at the weekend. So, KRS members will purchase Friday ticket to come and Sunday ticket to go back.
