This study reveals which neural circuits in the brain are responsible for the courtship behavior in certain male flies that involves \u201cgift-giving\u201d to females. By genetically reconstructing this specific neural wiring in the brain of a different fly species, the researchers successfully achieved an interspecies transfer of the gift-giving behavior.
