What is RI Examination?

This exam utilizes a radioactive substance called a"Radio-Isotope". It is a material, which emanates itself, and the radioactive item decreases its volume with the lapse of time.

Features of RI exam:

1. It can confirm the shape, size and functions of your internal organs.

2. You feel no pain at all on this exam.

3. No side effects.

You don't have to worry about the radioactive influence.

Radioactive rays (gamma rays) generated by Radio Pharmaceutical (RP) is extremely low and they are decreased with the lapse of time. They are only collected temporarily in your internal organs to be examined and then discharged with urination or evacuating the bowels. The radiation volume that you receive during examining is of the same level as an X-ray for your chest or bones.

1. You are administered a Radio-Pharmaceutical (RP), Radioactive Medicine through ingestion,@injection or inhalation depending on which type medicine or internal organ is to be examined. Depending on which type test is administered pretreatment may be required.

2. The RP collects in your internal organ to be examined. The times required for the exam will differ depending on the nature of the medicine. Therefore, you might be kept waiting until the exam starts. 4. Gamma rays are collected in the internal organ to be examined are taken in a picture. In most cases, you just lie down on your bed.
