Q When do you work together?

We hold workshops every Tuesday from 7 p.m. about which you can get information in the linked page ;<Workshop>. We'd like you to participate in these meetings where individual study is reported. When you are occupied for your own research work on weekdays, you can come on Saturday instead. Individual research is preceded as your schedule.

Q Where do you work together?

Our research activity bases on a laboratory on the University of Tokyo Hongo campus which is available for you. You can choose where to work according to your study. But workshops and other meetings are basically offered at our laboratory on the Hongo campus.

Q Who participate in your research activities?

Most of our collaborators are students and graduate students of medical or other science departments. Also there are some working people who had never been involved in research activities before. If you belong to some companies or universities, you will ask for their approval to join our activities. We do not need any contract of collaborative project with institutions you belong to. You will find details in the linked page; <introduction to researchers/collaborators>.

Q What kind of skills can we improve through your research activities.

We put importance on and in our laboratory. You can polish your communication skill and presentation skill through the collaborative research with institutions or researchers of different fields. You can also acquire creativity or executive ability by establishing new project plans and making your idea executed in the way of application for patent or public offering.

Q Isn't it difficult to manage both your research activities and my own work?

Every our member has his/her own work belonging to other laboratories. They participate in our activities as much as possible. Everyone successfully achieves a good balance between the two.

Q I have few experience or knowledge about medical science. Is it OK?

Members in our research activities have their specialized fields, naturally one does not know well about another one’s fields. It is one of our main purposes to create new idea from effective communication among members of various fields. Knowledge or experience in medical field is not absolutely necessary.

Q Do you pay for my work?

In our research team, everyone take his/her role with responsibility, and we offer each stuff salary for his/her contribution as prescribed by the University of Tokyo. However, if you expect good income we'd like to recommend you to find other part-time jobs like cram school teacher or home teacher.

Q I don't really understand well what is your research activities.

Our research team does not only do laboratory works as most people imagine but curries on a variety of projects. Our members can engage in all our proceeding activities as follows; application for patent or public offering, development of medical or physical and chemical science instruments, public relations such as editing and designing a journal or making a website, management of research funds. You can also establish a new research subject as long as it goes with <Idea of the research team>. If you have a new project idea in collaboration with other members of different field, your proposal will be always welcome.
