Another view from the tower. Completely forgot to take a photo of the tower itself. Anyway, St-Emillion was a pretty town.

AVIGNON

[Hotel at Avignon]

This hotel was a four-star and really nice. But inside the room was a bit naughty, I have to say. You can see inside the bathroom from this standpoint.

[Avenue Stuart Mill]

We three male utilitarians came all the way from Japan to see this avenue and the cemetery next to it. Drinking good wine was not our (chief) objective.

Where John Stuart Mill rests in peace side by side with his muse, Harriet Taylor. The picture taking was not allowed inside the cemetery.

[Pont Avignon]

This bridge is famous for being broken at the half of it. Tower of Pisa is famous for being tilted. Why are we so fascinated with imperfect buildings?

This was rather touching. St Mary had a lightning rod behind her. Don't know why God wants to thunder at her.
